JOB DESCRIPTION:
Performs substance abuse and mental health counseling work with adult clients in an outpatient methadone treatment setting. Counselors duties include but are not limited to screening, assessment, individual/group counseling, and treatment planning.Responsible for servicing primary caseload along with other clients as assigned. The counselor is also responsible for documenting in accordance with company standards.

Must also possess age specific knowledge and competencies applicable to the client population served.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree with two years of directly related substance abuse or mental health counseling preferred.

Additional experience in substance abuse direct service may be substituted for specific counseling.
